PlayStation hack: 1.5m Aussie accounts exposed
Sony has revealed more than 1.5 million Australian user accounts, which potentially includes 280,000 credit card numbers are now in possession of the hackers who took down the PlayStation Network.
Despite claims from Sony that the credit card numbers are encrypted, reports suggest people are discovering fraudulent charges appearing on their credit cards.
Whether this is true or not, we suggest PSN users contact their credit card company to discuss the safest plan of action. Even if that means having to switch to a new credit card.
